Over the last three days, 74 thousand tons of snow removed from the capital, which is 40% of the total amount of snow taken out during the winter period of 2012-2013, deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Anatoliy Holubchenko said during a meeting with members of the City staff for emergencies, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Today, the work goes on, and we still have narrow streets, where the snow should be removed, especially in the Shevchenkivsky and Podilsky districts. In general, in my opinion, on the results of four days of work, we will reach a figure of 50% of the total amount of removed snow during this winter," Holubchenko noted.

Every day, we involve an average of 250 vehicles, including 180 trucks, 40 loaders, 10-15 bulldozers, as well as excavators, graders, harvesters and tractors, to clean the streets.

In addition, according to Holubchenko, the Defense Ministry and internal troops provided significant assistance to the city.
