The Kyiv City State Administration predicts that congestion on roads of the capital will last another two or three days.

"I think there will also be congestion of at least nine points in the evening," the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Mazurchak told a press conference in the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

He urged Kyiv residents do not go on private cars and use public transport in the next few days.

The first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration said that on Wednesday, the movement of ground public transport will be 100% resumed. "Today (the movement of public transport - Ed.) is resumed by 90%, and tomorrow we will provide 100%," Mazurchak said.

He also explained that the work of the Kyiv Metro can not round the clock, because it needs time for periodic technical servicing. In particular, we should also clear snow in an open area of Svyatoshinsko Brovarskya subway line, otherwise the subway can stop too.

Mazurchak noted that at present all the efforts are aimed at expanding the main roads, already cleared from snow, and removal of snow from areas, where flooding is possible with the rapid melting of snow.
