Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea will open resort and tourist offices in seven cities in Russia, minister for resorts and tourism of Crimea Oleksandr Liev said today at the press conference on the occasion of the signing of the Joint Action Plan between the State Agency of Ukraine for Tourism and Resorts and the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Proper representing of the Crimean tourism and occupation of its niche in the global market is our main task, which finds its reflection in the joint action plan. Over the next six years we will open 24 resort and tourist office outside of Crimea. Seven of them will be in Ukraine, and the rest in Russia - in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk. One office will be opened in Latvia and one –in Azerbaijan," he said.

Minister for resorts and tourism of Crimea noted that the primary goal of the Ministry is to occupy a niche in medical tourism.

In turn, the head of the Ukrainian State Agency for Tourism Olena Shapovalova said that the Joint Action Plan provides for an inventory, certification and creation of a register of tourist resources.

"We set a goal - to make a unified register of all the tourist sites in all regions for connecting it to GPS-navigation programs. Then every tourist, entering Ukraine, could see where he is advised to go and where he can visit the facilities in line with the European standards," she explained.
