During the meeting in Warsaw, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski assured chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak to support the European integration of Ukraine, but also drew attention to the need to have the appropriate "political climate" in Ukraine to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union this year, minister at the Polish President's Office Jaromir Sokołowski informed with reference to the official website of Komorowski.
He noted that the signing of the Association Agreement was the main topic during the meeting of the Polish President with Volodymyr Rybak.
According to the report, Komorowski confirmed the continued support of Poland for the European integration of Ukraine and willingness to provide expert support for the implementation of the European standards in the Ukrainian state.
In turn, chairman of Lithuanian Seimas Vydas Gedvilas also praised the level of bilateral Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation.
"Lithuania wants Ukraine to follow the same way with the EU," he stressed.
