The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing is intensively working on the development of regional policy in Ukraine, head of the Ministry Hennadiy Temnyk declared, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the minister, this reform achieved a significant progress in 2012 with the support of development program of the United Nations, as a result new relations in the sphere of housing and local government were introduced. "The introduction of the presidential program on economic reform involves systemic modernization of the country, formation of the new regional policy and strengthening of the social and economic development of regions. Optimization of resource and staff potential of the regions and inter-regional cooperation will promote to attract new investments," the official said.
He added that the Ministry is actively working to create the best conditions for investors. "We have strengthened cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Today, the most ambitious national project in the domestic housing is a project of the World Bank "Development of urban infrastructure" with the investment of 140 million dollar, as well as a profiled EBRD project with the initial funding of 200 million euro, which has been launched already," Temnyk noted.
Thus, according to him, the program of presidential reforms assumes the creation of effective property owners.
