Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is satisfied with work of the State Emergency Service.
As an example, Prime Minister recalled that on March 15, under the rapid deterioration of weather conditions in the western regions for the first time in advance, the rescue units were relocated to areas with the greatest expected complications.
"Thus, the response term was reduced to a minimum. Almost 900 workers and 240 pieces of equipment were involved in combating consequences of the bad weather. 35 warming centers were set up in the major highways. About 4 million units of vehicles were released from snow captivity, 7 thousand road users were provided assistance," he said at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Azarov, Ukraine can sincerely thank rescuers for their service.
