The Cabinet of Ministers intends to allocate UAH 7.2 billion for the development of road infrastructure, repair and reconstruction of motor roads, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.

"The government will consider and must approve today the list of projects for the construction, reconstruction, overhaul and maintenance of public roads of the national and local significance, as well as the amount of their funding in 2013 with the borrowings made under the state guarantees. Thanks to this, 7 billion 200 million UAH will be directed for a number of important road infrastructure projects across the country," the head of government said.

In particular, these funds will be used to build a motorway across the Dnieper in Zaporizhzhia, reconstruct the roads Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn in Volyn region, Stryi-Ternopil and Kirovohrad-Znamianka, to finish the second stage of a bridge on the highway Marshentsi-Pidhirny in Chernivtsi region and a road around the city of Sevastopol.
