The Cabinet of Ministers welcomes the start of work of the Verkhovna Rada, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said before a meeting of the government, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Verkhovna Rada has started working. The government welcomes the resumption of legislative work and strongly hopes for fruitful cooperation with Parliament to ensure the stable development of the country," he said.
According to the head of government, it is necessary to strengthen the position of Ukraine.
"This is very good that leaders of the parliamentary factions managed to reach a compromise after intense debate and confrontations. I think this is a big step towards the realization that the government, opposition and Ukrainian people are united. The Ukrainian society should be protected from the effects of global recession more than ever," he said.
According to him, no one will give the prosperity to Ukraine, it should do everything by itself.
