It's time to make a decision on the issue of creating a gas consortium, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told a news conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The tripartite consortium depends on the third party. We are ready, Russia is ready, and where is that third party? The President, being in Brussels, and the government have repeatedly asked where the support of the European Union is. We have been talking about it for three years. How long should we wait? A year, two years? I myself have met with EU representatives many times and asked how much we should wait. Some people advise be more careful with Russia, but give your proposal. If you give an offer, we will be ready to discuss it with the Russian side, but you do not give us any suggestions. You just tell us that we ought to create ... We have almost come to the point when we have to make a decision," Azarov said.

When asked about whether it is possible to regard this response as the fact that the issue of bilateral consortium is practically settled, the Prime Minister said: "It will be settled when the relevant agreement is signed".
