Russian gas price for Ukraine may be reduced in the second quarter of 2013, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, then the trend will be preserved till the year-end. "I am convinced that this is possible through negotiations with the Russian colleagues. The gas price will be reduced to the fair and reasonable market cost," the minister said.
He added that in the second half year the gas price for Ukraine will be calculated based on the weighted average quotations of spot market at $ 350 per thousand cubic meters. "In comparison, the European experts forecast for the second half year is 250-280 dollars per thousand cubic meters," Stavytsky said.
