Warm spell will come to Ukraine in the first week of April, deputy director of the Department of Emergency Response Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Spring runs late this year. Average temperature transition through zero can not be expected in Ukraine till late March," he said.

According to Kulbida, despite the fact that on March 19-23 there will be a gradual increase in temperature (from -2 to - 9 at night and +1 +6 during the day), in most regions of Ukraine the warming will be accompanied by sleet (mainly in the west) and rain (in the south east). Starting from March 24, the weather gets colder.

"The air temperature again drops to - 6-11 in the western and northern regions, and to   -2-7 in the rest of Ukraine," Kulbida concluded.
