Lviv suffers from great snow drifts caused by heavy snow falls and wind. Public utilities workers cannot cope with cleaning streets from snow piles, having height of two feet and more.

The average height of snow cover is 18 cm. On March 14 -15, 38.3 mm of precipitation fell, which is 89% of the monthly norm for March.

Since 7:00 a.m., there are large drifts on most streets. Route taxis do not go, electric transportation hardly runs. Trams of four different routes have derailed.

Most of people run late for work for few hours, as they have to walk through the city on foot.

Residents of Rivne this morning had to do without the trolley buses as well.

The reason was ice rain at night, which covered electrical wires with ice.

Transportation department of the Rivne City Council organized extra buses on routes of missing trolleybuses.
