Visit of the President of Republic of Latvia Mr. Andris Berzins to Ukraine will strengthen Ukrainian-Latvian relations and the further development of bilateral cooperation in many areas of common interest, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said, speaking to the media, ForUm learned from the press service of the head of state.
Yanukovych noted that he is fully satisfied with the results of official negotiations, which confirmed the fruitfulness of the Ukrainian-Latvian relations.
"Today we discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Latvia, as well as cooperation in the context of the European integration course of the country. Much attention was paid to the development of trade and economic relations and investment cooperation," Ukrainian President said.
He also informed that the two parties agreed to maintain regular interstate dialogue.
