Face-to-face meeting between Yanukovych, Berzins starts

Face-to-face meeting between President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of Latvia Andris Berzins has started in Kyiv.

"I very much appreciate your proactive stand in bilateral cooperation and I am ready to respond you with the same activity," Yanukovych said at the beginning of the meeting.

In turn, Mr. Berzins thanked Yanukovych for the invitation to visit Ukraine and noted that the Latvian delegation was very interested in the visit.

"I am very pleased to have this meeting, and I think it will be a very productive and valuable to both countries," President Berzins said.
