In Ukraine, only 6% of high school graduates can be called healthy, youth and sports minister Ravil Safiullin told a briefing in the Cabinet, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Only 6% of children can be called relatively healthy. Every year the number of our population decreases," he said.

According to the minister, there is no physical education as such in Ukraine. "If we talk about the physical education in the full sense of the word, we can say that we do not have it actually. If in Western Europe, particularly in Sweden and Finland, the number of persons engaged in physical culture reaches 86-88%, in Ukraine this percentage ranges at level of 10-11%, according to our data," Safiullin concluded.
