Cabinet increases aid to most vulnerable categories of population

11 social decisions were approved at the today’s meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska told a briefing after the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports. 

"These 11 decisions relate to more than 2 million people. More than 20 billion UAH will be allocated from the state budget and the State Insurance Fund for their implementation," she said.

According to the minister, the approved solutions are the part of a package of 70 proposals of the Social Policy Ministry, which were worked out for the implementation of social initiatives of the President. "These decisions relate to three areas. The first is increase in monthly assistance for the most vulnerable categories of population. The second is compensation of 50% of single social contribution to employers who create new high-paying jobs. The third area is strengthening the social protection of persons injured at work," Natalia Korolevska explained.

The social policy minister stressed that among the taken decisions there are those that simplify the procedure for obtaining grants.
