Ukrainians begin to eat more meat, Azarov states

In 2012, the production of meat increased by 3.4% in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening a meeting of the government, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We were able to overcome a negative tendency of the reduction in meat production and increased its production by 3.4%. According to the Economic Development Ministry, the consumption of meat and meat products grew by one kg in 2012," the Prime Minister said.

According to him, the government support helped increase the number of cattle in all categories of farms.
