Czech Republic is ready to support Ukraine on its way to the European Union.
The statement was made by ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Mr. Ivan Pochuh at the meeting with Parliament’s speaker Volodymyr Rybak, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada informs.
"The Czech Republic wants to see the success of Ukraine in Vilnius (during the EU summit) this year, which is important in relations between Ukraine and the EU ... The process of European integration of Ukraine will be an important component to unite our countries and define the future for years to come," the ambassador said.
In addition, Mr. Pochuh invited the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to come to the Czech Republic on an official visit, and proposed a parliamentary committee on science and education to meet their Czech colleagues in May 2013.
