Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is not satisfied with the level of domestic medicine.

"Neither the government nor the people like the state of domestic medicine, as we know that modern medicine has advanced. Healthcare reform is certainly not an easy task. It is not easy even in the pilot regions, which get more resources and more attention," Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with journalists of Ukrainian TV channels, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The task of the pilot regions is to study the negative experience, which, unfortunately, always occurs before the spread of the reform in other regions," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister added that the medical reform also touches upon providing people with drugs. "We could not continue keeping the situation under which it was not clear how our people are treated ... This year we have introduced GMP medicines quality assessment. Moreover, there have appeared companies producing drugs just as good, and in many cases even better than those of the well-known European companies," the Prime Minister expressed confidence.
