Women's chess team of Ukraine won the World Chess Team Championship, playing in the final round with Russians with a score 2-2.
Our team consists of Anna Ushenina, who became world champion in 2012, Kateryna Lahno, Mariya Muzychuk, Nataliya Zhukova and Inna Haponenko.
The second place went to team from China, and the third to the Russian woman.
As a reminder, Anna Ushenina became Ukraine’s first woman to win the world women’s chess championship on Dec. 1 after defeating Bulagarian Antoaneta Stefanova in a tiebreaker in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.
