Fighters for humane treatment of animals ask the government to deal with the methods of killing of stray animals in Kyiv, they said at a press conference "The fate of the four-legged homeless animals: What kills faster - poison or indifference?", ForUm correspondent reports.
"Winter is over, and we find a lot of dead animals. We need a way to solve this problem," breeder Oleksiy Podymaka said.
According to journalist Artem Horyachkin, one of MPs, which has been asked to find out who is engaged in hunting dogs, have already sent the corresponding request to the Interior Ministry. In turn, journalists sent their own request.
Moreover, animal rights activists insist on creating special sites in the capital for safe dog walking. They advise to apply directly to the local policeman in each case of finding a killed dog and draw up a report of the incident.
