Talks among the leaders of factions in office of the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada have not take place today, as the opposition has not yet decided on a united position, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov said, ForUm correspondent reports.
"They are talking to each other and, as I understand, cannot agree on a common position," he said.
Yefremov said that the majority has only one proposal - go to the session hall and start working.
Commenting on the statement made by opposition that the court’s ruling on withdrawal mandate from MP Vlasenko is a dangerous precedent as now any MP may be deprived of mandate in such a way, Yefremov said: "Only he, who breaks the law, may be deprived of a mandate, not any MP. This is a principled position and if any of the deputies has thought he is above the law, now there is a real precedent showing that MP shall obey the law".
