Opening of family practice clinics in Kyiv allowed reducing the coverage radius of service areas by out-patient hospitals, head of the Kyiv City State Administration healthcare department Vitaly Mokhorev told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Since the last year we have opened 125 family practice clinics, that is except for all usual large out-patient hospitals for Kyivans. We bring medical care through the system of family general clinics, which are opened in every district of Kyiv," he said.
At the same time, he noted that the family practice clinics provide fewer services. However, the basic services that should be given at the primary level are provided.
