The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine condemns blocking of the Verkhovna Rada by opposition, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the government’s meeting on Wednesday, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The government strongly condemns the blocking of work of the Parliament. Three months have passed since the beginning of work of the new composition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. What pressing issues of the country has the Parliament already solved? Unfortunately, the legislative work is blocked by the opposition. During this time, the opposition has not proposed any actual solutions to the country's development, even within their campaign promises," Azarov said.

According to him, the opposition prevents other authorities from working too.

"Representatives of the opposition even tried to disrupt the government’s meeting, which considered the fateful question of economy reviving. Where are their proposals, which they allegedly wanted to voice? Where is their view how to emerge from crisis? They do nothing. Opposition uses any excuse to block the constructive work of authorities. Our citizens must realize that the opposition operates under the principle: the worse - the better. The Ukrainians suffer from such a position, as now every day is very important," the Prime Minister concluded.
