The Cabinet will stimulate the production of domestic medicines in Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with importers, ForUm correspondent reports.
“During the nearest five years, the government will stimulate the production of all necessary preparations. Now the government is developing the necessary measures, which will be realized,” the Prime Minister said.
According to him, today there are 80% of imported medicaments and only 20% - domestic. “We would like to change this percentage,” the Prime Minister stressed.
Azarov added that the Cabinet tends to ensure the prices of medicines in the domestic market at least as in Europe, as the analysis shows that they are much higher in the country.
