Ukrainians annually pay 1.5-2 billion UAH for drugs, not used in Europe, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with importers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I was amazed when professionals told me that our people are buying such drugs. Their effectiveness is not proven. Moreover, it turned out that I myself take them. These are such medicines as actovegin, mildronate, preductal," Azarov said.
The head of the Cabinet noted that in 2012 the price for hypertensive drugs was reduced by 12%, and this year there is a need to work on cheapening the cost of other drugs.
