Ukrainian vegetable products should enter the foreign markets, agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told journalists during the press tour to the largest vegetable store in Europe, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Ukraine produced 8.5 million tons of vegetables in 2010 and already 10 million tons in 2012. Our volume of consumption amounts to 8-8.5 million tons. We have a residual product, which should enter the foreign markets," he said.

At the same time, according to the minister, Ukraine should not strive for money, but gain its niches in the foreign markets.

The minister also reminded that Ukrainian products were considered to be substandard five-six years ago in Europe. As of today, according to him, this situation has changed.
