Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov denied information that the head of the Parliament’s regulations committee Volodymyr Makeyenko intended to resign from the post of head of the committee, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, after the morning sitting of the committee, some oppositionists came up to Makeyenko and began to place pressure on him. In turn, Makeyenko said: "Dear colleagues, committee meeting is over. I’ve stepped down from office for today. He said that in joke".
"There is no formal application, it is just unverified fact," Yefremov summed up.
As reported, first deputy head regulations committee Valery Karpuntsov said that Volodymyr Makeyenko resigned.
