President Viktor Yanukovych has prompted the ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to reduce her imprisonment term by compensating damages to state.
"Yulia Tymoshenko should legally defend herself. She is not legally defended. The new Code of Criminal Procedure allows humanizing economic issues under one condition - if damages inflicted to the state are paid. She should think over that," President Viktor Yanukovych said during a press conference in the Ukrainian House.
Yanukovych also stressed that the issue of Tymoshenko’s imprisonment is very complex and there is no person, who can give a definite solution to this situation.
