President promises to meet with press more often

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will hold a meeting to consider the issue of evasion of officials from communicating with the press.

"I will soon gather the meeting on this issue," he said and added that the demand of journalists for the authorities to be more public fully coincide with those of the President.

Yanukovych also explained why he meets journalists so rarely.

 

"I thank you for criticizing me... Why don't we meet often? I said honestly many times: I don't like that much. Like we say, everyone has their things. It's not my thing," President Viktor Yanukovych said during a press conference in the Ukrainian House. .

"It's my fault, I promise you to eradicate it," he said.
