Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Volodymyr Rybak confirmed that the Parliament’s committee on the Rules, parliamentary ethics and operation of the Parliament took the decision on withdrawal of parliamentary mandate from the Batkivshchyna faction member Serhiy Vlasenko and forwarded the relevant documents to the court. This was stated by deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’s committee on the Rules Valery Karpuntsov (the UDAR Party faction).
"The speaker confirmed he had sent the documents of the committee to the court to take decision on mandate withdrawal," he said.
Earlier, head of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov said that Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko may be deprived of the parliamentary mandate for combining the advocacy and powers of the MP.
