In 2012, the unemployment rate in Ukraine decreased by 7.4%, deputy director of the department on labor statistics of the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine Alla Solop said during a round table "When will Ukrainians get payroll salaries? Reduction in social tax and economy unshadowing", ForUm correspondent reports.
"There was a decline in the unemployment rate by 7.4% in 2012. We are talking about economically active population of Ukraine," she said.
At the same time, according to her, the employment rate of Ukrainians amounted to 59% in 2011 and to 61% in 2012.
In addition, she stressed that the average salary in 2012 was 3026 UAH.
Solop noted that the wage arrears are decreasing. "As of January 1, the wage arrears amounted to 0.9 billion UAH," she summed up.
