In Ukraine, 11% of employees declared the minimum wage in December 2012, deputy director of the department - head of revenues department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Lyudmila Polevik said during a round table "When will Ukrainians get payroll salaries? Reduction in social tax and economy unshadowing", ForUm correspondent reports.
"In December 2012, nearly 1.5 million employees out of 12 million, declared the minimum salary. This is 11% of the total number. All the employees of such firms, and even the leadership, officially registered minimum wage. Mostly these are companies with available funds, dealing with trade, consumer services and others," she said.
According to her, 7 million employees got salaries below the level of the average wage (3100 UAH - Ed.) "The issue of legalization of wages is very serious, as it is the main source of pumping up the PF budget and the state budget," Polevik summed up.
