Reliability of the Ukrainian space equipment is higher than that of competitors, but the failures are possible in all charts, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said in his talk with reporters after visiting the State Enterprise "Kyivprylad Production Association".
"Even a very highly reliable and high-tech space industry cannot work without failures either in America or in Europe, or in China, or in Russia. There are such moments in high-tech programs and projects, unfortunately," Azarov said.
He stressed that each situation must be carefully investigated. "We need to understand in detail what caused a failure and eliminate this cause," the prime minister said.
According to him, it is necessary to prove that the failure rate in the Ukrainian space equipment is minimal. "Compared to the competitors, we have more reliable equipment. We will defend these positions in negotiations with our partners," Azarov said.
