Ukrainian grandmaster Pavlo Elyanov won the traditional chess tournament Reykjavik Open 2013, which was held in the capital of Iceland on February 19-27, according to chess-results.com.

The Ukrainian scored 8 points out of 10 possible leaving behind Filipino Wesley So and Bassem Amin of Egypt by additional points, UKRINFORM reports.

TOP 30 includes also Ukrainians Volodymyr Baklan (7 pts., 19th), Yuriy Kuzubov (6.5; 29) and Mykhailo Oleksiyenko (6.5; 30).

The tournament was attended by 227 chess players from 37 countries.
