Reforming of the agricultural sector is a priority in the national economy, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said during the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The main goal of agricultural sector reforming is to create a transparent mechanism for land use based on the unified system of state land cadastre," the President reminded.
He also stressed that it is necessary to do everything for the land reform to protect the rights of peasants without depriving them of their land, as well as to contribute to the implementation of their rights and stop the shady machinations in the land sector.
