The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is planning to consider as priority bills to implement the commitments of Ukraine to the Council of Europe and the EU-Ukraine Action Plan in the near future, speaker Volodymyr Rybak said during the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Mr. Simon Smith.
According to him, MPs recognize the importance of the implementation of the European standards in Ukraine, which in fact are the electoral programs of all parliamentary parties.
The Parliament’s speaker expressed confidence that the relevant legislation will be supported by both the majority and the opposition, as the issue of European integration is the rallying point for parliamentarians.
