Ukraine may get the first tranche under the loan agreement, which was signed at the EU-Ukraine summit, in the coming months, the Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Two documents were signed: the memorandum of understanding and the very loan agreement. The loan amount will be 610 million EUR. This is one of the largest loans of the EU to a state which is not an EU member. Loan will be received in four tranches. The first is100 million EUR, the second - 10 million, the third and the fourth - 250 million each," he said.

According to Perebyinis, the first tranche will be allocated after the agreement comes into force, and all the necessary procedures in Ukraine and the EU are done.

"Ukraine will receive the first tranche from the EU in the coming months," he stressed.

Foreign Ministry spokesman also noted that an important element of the loan is the credit agreement with the IMF. "This loan is available in the supplement to the program, which can be implemented by the International Monetary Fund," he explained.

According to him, the program is designed for 2.5 years.
