The Education and Science, Youth and Sports Ministry of Ukraine will initiate introduction of paid administrative service, due to which every employer will be able to check the authenticity of the diploma of his employee, minister Dmytro Tabachnyk told a briefing on February 25, ForUm correspondent reported.
According to him, such administrative service will be voluntary.
Tabachnyk said that currently the Education Ministry verifies the authenticity of documents at the request of the state and local government agencies.
According to him, only 15 fake diplomas were revealed in 2012.
The minister also noted that all the data on the Ukrainian university diplomas, issued after 2000, are in the electronic database. "It takes 15-20 minutes of searching," he said.
"Verification of documents, which were issued prior to this period, takes longer period of time, as the information is available in paper form. However, it is still possible to be found," Tabachnyk summed up.
