Ukraine has actually completed the first stage of the Action Plan on visa regime liberalization with the EU, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with media, which took place after the plenary meeting of the 16th EU-Ukraine summit, the press service of the head of state reports.
"We will soon present our last report on progress in this area to the European Commission," the head of the Ukrainian state said.
He expressed hope that this report will help the European Union to start considering the second stage of implementation of the Action Plan by Ukraine.
The President also noted that the participants of negotiations and the Ukrainian community pay special attention to the visa issue.
