Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is satisfied with the results of the Ukraine-EU summit, he told a press conference within the summit in Brussels, UKRINFORM reports.
"This summit has become an important step in bilateral relations between Ukraine and the EU. And I am generally satisfied with the results," Yanukovych said.
He noted that the parties understand the common goals and have a clear plan for the implementation of joint actions. "I confidently declare that Ukraine will make every effort to ensure that particular tasks are fulfilled efficiently and on time. I expect the same responsible step from the European Union," he said.
Yanukovych expressed confidence that the meeting will give a powerful impetus to the achievement of common goals. "My conversation with the EU leaders gives me a reason for optimism," the head of state concluded.
