Kyiv City Council has decided to take a loan to buy trolley buses for the Kyivpastrans municipal enterprise. 74 deputies voted in favor of this decision, ForUm correspondent reports.
During the briefing, secretary of the Kyiv City Council Halyna Hereha explained that last year the decision was made to purchase 77 trolley buses for 284 million 900 thousand UAH, but this credit resource failed to be raised. "So this year we update the decision. We need modern transportation, we have to update our city park, and this is another step to improve the quality of passenger transportation in the city," she noted.
According to general director of Kyivpastrans Mykola Lanbutsky, all purchased trolleybuses will be made in Ukraine.
