Ukraine is interested in the resumption of supply of Turkmen natural gas, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"First of all, we are interested in the resumption of supply of natural gas from Turkmenistan to Ukraine, as well as the participation of Ukrainian companies in the implementation of exploration and development of oil and gas deposits and the construction of fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan," he said.
According to the minister, the memorandum, which was signed on February 13 between Ukraine and Turkmenistan, provides to conduct the exploration work, exploratory and production drilling and field development.
He noted that Ukrainian specialists are looking for alternative ways to supply the Turkmen gas to Ukraine bypassing Russia.
