
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed deputy Prime Minister Yuri Boiko together with the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry and the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to begin the development of documents for the implementation of agreements in the energy sector reached during the visit of President Viktor Yanukovych to Turkmenistan, he said opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the activation of cooperation in the energy sphere became an important outcome of the visit of the President to Turkmenistan.
Azarov also said that during the visit a memorandum on mutual understanding between Naftogaz and the state concern Turkmengaz was signed, which refers to the possible resumption of gas supplies to Ukraine and Europe and the development of deposits on the territory of Turkmenistan.
