The policy of the Cabinet of Ministers aims to modernize the healthcare industry and to provide the public with quality services and medicines, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with public organizations and experts in health care, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine has a number of modern medical institutions, including the National Cancer Institute, the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center for Endocrine Surgery, Transplantation of Endocrine Organs and Tissues.
According to Azarov, the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center for Endocrine Surgery is a modern center with the best modern diagnostic instruments and equipment.
He stressed that he initiated to consider the issue on sale of medicines to persons suffering from diabetes, according to the scheme of compensation. "In addition, the government is monitoring the situation with the implementation of the law on licensing of imports of drugs that will provide pharmacies with quality medications," the Prime Minister stressed.
