Amendments to the Rules may become a compromise in the negotiations between the opposition and the majority, MP, member of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Rules, Parliamentary Ethics and Operation of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Makeyenko told journalists in the Parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.

He stressed that it is necessary to open a session of the Parliament in order to solve this issue.

"It is absolutely normal that it is necessary to open a session to make changes to the Rules, and then the committees will start their work. We (the Party of Regions - Ed.) offer this, but there is no response from our colleagues," he said and suggested that the opposition is trying to involve the majority into solution of this issue using force.

The MP also noted that the concrete developments of changes have not been submitted to the procedural committee yet. He specified that the proposed changes to the Rules during the negotiations concerned the personal vote.
