The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine will spend 11 million UAH to prepare for participation in the XXII Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, the NOC President Serhiy Bubka said during the signing of the document on Ukraine's participation in the Olympics, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Our budget 2013 allocates 11 million UAH to support our Olympic team in Sochi. In addition, we approved grants for the 20 athletes on the recommendation of our Federations, which they started getting since 1 November 2012. Payments will be held until February 2014. This would amount to 2 million UAH," he said.

Bubka also assured that the NOC will do everything necessary to ensure good performance of our athletes at the Olympics.

XXII Winter Olympic Games will be held in Sochi on February 7 – 23, 2014. XI Paralympic Winter Games will be held on March 7 - 16.

Ukrainian athletes can compete in ten sports: biathlon, cross-country skiing, figure skating, luge, freestyle skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping, Nordic combined, short track speed skating.
