Polish foreign minister Radosław Sikorski is optimistic about the prospects of Ukraine's European integration and hopes that the Ukrainian government will not give up the association with the EU in favor of joining the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

"I am optimistic about Ukraine. Ukraine is the only member of the Eastern Partnership program, which has the agreed text of the Association Agreement with the European Union," Sikorski said.
According to him, it testifies to "the highest level of integration with the EU."

"The question is, will it create appropriate political climate, which will allow signing the Association Agreement in Vilnius in November. We will be happy if it happens," Sikorski said.

At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainians have to decide for themselves, in which union they want to be integrated: the EU or the projects under the aegis of Russia.
