In 2012, the vaccination level for each of the infectious diseases, introduced into the national immunization schedule, rose by about 20% compared to 2010, reform and development department of the Healthcare Ministry Olena Tereshchenko told a round table discussion "Current issues of immunization in Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.

"Over the past three years, the level of vaccination against 10 diseases, listed in immunization schedule, is at different rates. Despite the active anti immunization campaign, vaccination coverage of children grew up in 2012. On average, it rose by 20%, although the level still has not reached the desired level of 95% of the entire population," the expert said.

According to her, as of the end of 2012, the coverage of vaccination against tuberculosis was 95.4%, for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis - 75.6%, measles, rubella and paratita - 78.8%, against hepatitis B - 82.6%, against polio for children up to one year - 73.7%.
