Joint Stock Company Russian Railways announces about a temporary suspension of the ticket sales for passenger trains moving to Ukraine with departure starting from March 30, the press service of the company reports.
"In accordance with the request of the Ukrainian railway administration and the lack of a final decision on the transition of Ukraine to daylight saving time in March of 2013, the Russian Railways has to suspend the sale of tickets for long-distance trains, including trailers and through railroad cars, to Ukraine from the territory of Russia from March 30, 2013," the statement said.
The decision to suspend the ticket sales is related to the possible need to adjust schedules and timetables of passenger trains, trailers and through railroad cars going to Ukraine.
"The work will be done in the shortest time, and passengers will be informed immediately on the further opening of the ticket sales," the press service noted.
